This contemporary anticlastic cuff features a hand-stamped traditional Japanese Asanoha pattern and repeating triangle pattern. The Asanoha pattern is a beloved motif in Japanese fabrics and sashiko embroidery. Resembling hemp leaves, the pattern symbolizes healthy growth, vitality, resilience, and protection from misfortune. Because of this association, Asanoha was traditionally used on babies’ and children’s clothing and kimonos as a wish for a child to grow strong and upright.
Hand-crafted from high-quality sterling silver ingot, this wide cuff has an internal length of 5 9/16”, an opening of 1 1/4” and a width of 1 1/4”. Its weight is roughly 76.7 grams, or 2.71 ounces. Non-patina finish.
